LO*OP Annual Board Meeting: Nov. 3, 2013

Board Member Profiles

(Back to Corporate Business page)

Liza Loop (everybody knows me, President) [LL]

Nadine Grant (longest sitting board member who will participate offline due to health constraints) [NG]

Richard Karpinski, Secretary (friend and nitpicker extraordinaire) I tend to think like an engineer, and I notice little, and large problems and feel compelled to try to fix them. My career was helping people use computers and reporting bugs to IBM. Then I learned more about user interface issues and how to address them. Now, my main work is to bring known cancer cures to wide use. [RK]

Jonah Loop, Treasurer (my son who was willing to jump in and hold a board seat when I needed him) [JL]

Deirdre McGrath (friend who wants to contribute and can help Richard be secretary) - membership to be ratified [DMc]

David Moursund (ed tech pioneer and founder of IAEpedia) - membership to be ratified [DM]

Carol Vesecky (loyal long-term board member) is a fluent Russian speaker and directs Biointensive for Russia, a nonprofit agro-ecological exchange project, originally fiscally sponsored by LO*OP Center and later by Ecology Action. (If interested, check out http://biointensiveforrussia.igc.org and get in touch to ask questions and offer support!) She now owns and lives on a unique orchard of diverse fruit trees, primarily mulberries, in Ojai, CA and cordially invites you for a visit. [CV]

David Wigglesworth (colleague from our Intercultural Communications era) [DW]

Tom Trimbath, HCLE Project Manager, staff guest at Board Meeting [TT]

FEEDBACK
I'd prefer a couple of sentences or more in each profile. Move the bulk to a separate page or to a lower place on the page if it gets longer than say three lines of text. Does mine work for you? [RK]
I included a link to my bio. I hope to create a concise bio before the meeting. [TT]
I like having the headlines in boxes of a different background color, but I'd like more contrast than dark orange on dark brown. [RK]
Pick a color and fix the pages as you like them, RK, I'm agnostic [LL]
How do you like this radical idea of feedback on the very page under discussion? [RK]
Handy. [TT]
I alphabetized all the regular members, which put my longish blurb lower down as suggested by RK. [CV]
